Well, another issue finished. I can't say that there has been much of an improvement over the last issue. There was the business of a vindictive ass frustrated at his inability to control his pet forum having the Xoom account shut down. And while this wasn't quite the thorn in my side that he probably hoped it would be, it was still an annoyance. That's one reason for the abysmal lack of content; there was little time left for writing after looking for a new host, reformatting everything for use on that new host (Freeservers), adding a few new features, etc. Another reason was, yes, Christmas.

Now, Christmas this year was actually really good. Everybody got along well, and got (mostly) what they wanted. I guess the only thing I hated about Christmas this year was the reminder it gave me that while I may be 17 and can tie my shoes without any help, thank you very much, I still can't wrap presents better than I could when I had velcro&tm; on said shoes.

Anyway, this issue has some items of value, for those of you who have not already seen them (ie: anyone who knows me personally). The Meaning of Life, by Nathan Friedrich, struck me as being nothing less than sheer brilliance. He gave me permission to run a copy of it here, and I hope everyone reads it. Don't Start a Band/Kelly's Rant is an amusing (not to mention frighteningly accurate) plea to people everywhere NOT to start a band. Homosexuality, acceptance, and tradition was something I wrote in regards to the gay-rights debate on the News-Register Forum, so if it seems rather disjointed and un-essayesque, that's why.

I suppose that I am going to have to work out some system to update this thing regularly. Things should pick up once we get off Christmas break though, as it will be easier to get in contact with people, and there's certain to be more atrocious actions at our school :P

In the future, possibly the very near future, we'll have our own hosting at under 4boxes.1000lies.net, or possibly www.4boxes.com. Money is an issue right now (figure around $200 for the first year of operation), and that's about the only problem. I'm trying to keep pages as small as possible (read: few graphics), so running ads is almost out of the question (though Freeservers does allow it). *Shrug* I'll think of something :)

The next issue should feature some video reviews, more writings from Nathan and Kelly, and possibly some tech articles about Linux pppd or the Litestep Windows shell replacement.

Well, I hope everyone enjoys this issue. Any comments can be sent to Jenn.Ever@4boxes.freeservers.com. *Outie*
